Welcome to NYS Care Management Training Initiative
Thanks to generous support from the New York State Department of Health’s Workforce Re-Training Initiative (HWRI), the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS), the New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (NYS Council), the Mental Health Association of Nassau County (MHANC) and Clubhouse of Suffolk are delighted to launch this training initiative!
This training initiative is designed to make a meaningful contribution to the successful transformation of the health/behavioral health care delivery system here in New York. The primary objective is to prepare OMH Case Managers and OASAS MATS staff to deliver high quality, integrated care coordination services to New Yorkers who qualify for NYS Medicaid Health Home services. To achieve this goal, a dynamic package of web-based and face-to-face training opportunities have been developed to help staff succeed in their new roles as Health Home Care Coordinators.
The New York Care Coordination Program (NYCCP), a nationally recognized leader in the delivery of evidence-based training and technical assistance services, will develop, coordinate and deliver web based and face to face trainings. All participants will have full access to this website which will be stocked with articles, videos and other learning tools enabling participants to engage in self directed learning between webinars and face-to-face training events. Webinars are designed to introduce new knowledge and skills as well as enhance existing competencies staff need to succeed in their new roles. Face-to-face training will be held across convenient locations across New York where participants can practice newly acquired skills.
